A good beginning point is to find other believers to share your life with, so they can encourage you and you can encourage them. A good group of believers is usually found in a Bible believing, salvation preaching church.  The Bible tells of the importance of fellowship:

And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. Hebrews 10:24-25
